How to Audit a Solana Wallet and Recover Rent

Analyze any Solana wallet - find closeable token accounts for rent recovery, check permissions, audit before connecting to DeFi. Offline-capable.

The rent recovery opportunity

Every token account on Solana requires a rent deposit—roughly 0.002 SOL per account. If you've been using Solana for a while, you probably have dozens of token accounts: old airdrops, tokens from dead projects, meme coins you swapped away months ago. That rent is technically still yours.

If you have 50 token accounts with zero balance, that's 50 × 0.002 = 0.1 SOL locked up. At $150 SOL price, that's $15 you could recover. Power users with hundreds of accounts? It adds up significantly.

What the analyzer shows

Enter any Solana address and the tool returns: every SPL token account including zero-balance accounts that can be closed, a rent recovery estimate, account permissions like delegate authorities and freeze status, and associated token account status.

For analyzing your own wallet with intent to close accounts, connect your wallet to enable the close functionality. For research on other wallets, no wallet connection is needed—all data is public blockchain information.

Permission auditing before DeFi

Token accounts can have permissions that limit your control. Delegate authority means someone else can spend tokens from this account. Close authority determines who can close the account. Freeze status indicates whether the token issuer has frozen specific accounts.

Before connecting a wallet to a new protocol, especially an unfamiliar one, run it through the analyzer. Note your current permissions and account states. After interacting, check again. This helps you understand what changed and whether cleanup is needed.

Workflow for rent recovery

Analyze your address and note closeable accounts. Focus on accounts with zero balance—these are safe to close without losing anything. Verify no unexpected delegates or permissions on accounts you'll keep. Connect your wallet and close accounts in batches. Confirm your SOL balance increased as expected.

Account closure is permanent. If you close an account for a token and later receive that token again, a new account will be created with a new rent deposit. Don't close accounts for tokens you actively use.
